Information for Water Managers
Historically, the principal audience for snow survey information
has been hydrologists, watermasters, and analysts in agricultural and
municipal water districts, environmental engineering consultants,
and organizations whose operations are highly dependent on the
State's water supply.
Moreover, many such agencies cooperate with the Department of
Water Resources in obtaining snow survey data, through
contributions of time, personnel, funding, or all three.
In recognition of this, the Snow Surveys website will primarily
support activities of such agencies.
